MINIMUM HOURS:

Our candidates require a 20 hour per week minimum on all placements, including temporary placements.

FEES:

All agency fees are based upon a percentage of the candidate’s annual salary, with a minimum fee of $2,500. All searches require a non-refundable $250 initial retainer per search. Complex searches require 20% of the candidate’s annual salary. *Cancelation fee applies.

LIVE OUT NANNIES ONLY:

LIVE-IN NANNIES, HOUSEKEEPERS, CHEFS, PERSONAL AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANTS, HOUSE & ESTATE MANAGEMENT, DOMESTIC COUPLES:

TEMPORARY PLACEMENTS:

3 months or under: 25% of the candidate’s gross income 4-6 months: One month of candidate’s salary or $2,500 minimum

BABYSITTING LIST:

$400. List of 4 nannies who are looking to cover date nights. Each list is specifically chosen based upon client needs and requests.

BACKGROUND CHECKS:

All candidates have a Social Security number trace performed and all counties of residence are checked for criminal activity. A DMV report will also be included with all documented references. All childcare providers are fingerprinted and registered with the Trustline™ Registry before initial interview with our clients.

A LA CARTE DUE DILIGENCE:

Social Security trace, County Criminal record, DMV report, Trustline™ Credit Check, Sexual Offender check, Job Verification and Education Verification.

Seaside speaks to all prospective clients before having an in-home consultation. Our in-home consultation process enables our staff to best assess your individual needs. Seaside then sends candidates that fit the type of domestic employee you are seeking. Trial time is set once a candidate is selected and if the trial is successful, an employment offer is prepared with the assistance of our staff.

All fees are based on a candidate’s annual salary.

Most of our candidates come to us via word of mouth through the community or recommended by their past employers. Some find us online through various search engines and social media platforms.

After we review submitted resumes, we will request a phone call with qualified candidates. If the initial phone call goes well and the candidate meets our requirements, we will request a face to face interview. We require a cover letter, letters of recommendation, 3-6 phone numbers for references, all social media URL’s, and the candidates DMV record.

We review all letters of recommendation, social media platforms, call and document references associated with each candidate. All Seaside childcare providers are required to be fingerprinted with the Trustline™ Registry before being submitted to our clients. Seaside does not work with candidates with prior DUIs, felonies or misdemeanors.

Trustline™ Registry is California’s background check for in-home childcare providers. All Seaside Nannies and Newborn Care Specialists are required to register before being submitted to our clients. The candidate’s fingerprints are filed with the DOJ, the FBI, the California Central Childcare Index and the California Department of Social Services. Once a client intends to hire a candidate, Seaside performs additional background checks. We run a Social Security number trace checking every county that candidate has lived in for criminal activity. Seaside also offers extra services such as a credit report, sexual offender investigation as well as education and job verification for an additional fee.

The process takes between one week to eight weeks, depending on the difficulty of the search and the availability of candidates who match your needs.

Nannies: $18. – $30. hourly
Newborn Care: $25. – $45. hourly
Housekeepers: $20. – $30. hourly
Chefs: $65k – 125k annually
Personal & Executive Assistants: 48k – 85k annually
House & Estate Management: 80k – 150k annually
Domestic Couples: 90k – 125k annually

Clients are not required to offer benefits in the state of California, but many of the best candidates expect paid time off, health insurance, federal holidays, sick pay and mileage reimbursement if using their vehicle.

Seaside is a referral agency only, so all clients are responsible for making sure that the candidate of their choice is paid properly.

Yes, everyone is required in paying their taxes. Seaside is happy to refer clients to payroll services we are affiliated with.
